I wanted to send you a note this morning to remind you that it’s okay to be in one space at a time. There is immense pressure we feel during the holidays to be present with our loved ones and engage in all the holiday things while looking ahead to the new year and start planning- all at once.
You are allowed to be in one space at a time.
You are allowed to let the mundane things of the day to capture your attention and know that this too is precious and worthy of your attention.
Before you head to 2024 and start making goals, I hope you find yourself space to
catch a breath
celebrate
grieve
take-in
and finally, release 2023.
Even if 2023 wasn’t the year for you and you’re ready to move on, I hope you acknowledge all that you have been through and take time to thank your body and heart for how it has carried you. You made it.
I usually take at least the first few weeks in January to catch a breath after hosting family for a while, organize-declutter-clean my home, relax, and reflect before setting intentions for the coming year.
There is no rush.
We recently celebrated my sister and appa’s birthday. From conversations about mid-life crisis to aging parents to seeing my nephew grow up right before my eyes, time is a gift.
I hope you see this week as a gift of time
to not rush in.
love,
Kyunghee
I needed this, thank you
